Ep #15: Am I too ambitious?

If you’re an ambitious woman, you’ve probably been told at some point that you’re too ambitious. Maybe it was your boss who said it, or a well-meaning family member. We’re here to tell you that it’s not true! It is not selfish to put yourself first and pursue the career you really want.
First and foremost, it is important to remember that you are worthy of pursuing your goals. You are not defined by other people’s expectations of you; you get to define yourself. So go out and do what you want to do! Don’t let anyone else hold you back from pursuing the career you really want.
Another reason why it is important to pursue your ambitions is that it requires you to keep showing up and believing in yourself—even when things are tough. Pursuing your ambitions is not always going to be easy, but it will be worth it in the end. So don’t give up on yourself!
Finally, pursuing your ambitions can help you create the life you really want. If you allow yourself to be held back by other people’s expectations, you will never truly be happy. But if you go out and pursue your dreams, chances are good that you will end up exactly where you want to be.
If you’re an ambitious woman, don’t let anyone tell you that you’re being selfish. Pursuing your goals from a position of worthiness is not selfish; it’s empowering. So keep showing up and believing in yourself, and don’t give up on your dreams. Get clear on what you want and go for it!
